Canal Walk & White River State Park
Want to get away from it all? This is your best option. Running from 11th Street to White River State Park, the Canal Walk provides a three-mile looped track complete with restaurants, the Indiana Historical Society, and a 250-acre state park at its end. The canal experience includes vivid artwork from the ever-expanding Indianapolis artistic community and 11 crafted bridges (each one devoted to a specific era in Indiana).
This 250-acre state park is centrally located next to the Indiana State Museum and IMAX Theatre, the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, and the NCAA Hall of Champions. Take a walk through the park and then finish with a peaceful stroll along the Indianapolis Canal.

Take a quick walk around the circle to get a spectacular sandwich from Potbelly Sandwich Shop, observe live radio shows at Emmis Communications, and enjoy a cup of dream-like hot chocolate from South Bend Chocolate Company (seriously, it’s the best you will ever taste).
Interested in some shopping and then some dinner? This four-level indoor mall offers over 125 dining and entertainment options like Carson's, H&M, Eddie Bauer, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, P.F. Chang’s, and the UA Circle Centre 9 movie theatre. Additionally, its food court offers a variety of options if you are in a hurry or just want to sit and take in the experience.
Want to take in a game? Bankers Life Fieldhouse will host the Indiana Pacers vs. the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday, March 21 at 7 p.m. Like most attractions in Indianapolis, Bankers Life is surrounded by dinner spots like the Claddagh Irish Pub.
