- What? PLTW, Chevron, and John Deere welcome students to engage in the 2019 PLTW Engineering Design Competition, which gives participants the opportunity to address a problem relating to portable, renewable, and affordable energy. The competition is designed to recognize and reward outstanding student projects and to highlight the importance of engineering design that solves real-world problems.
- When? Registration is open now and closes April 19, 2019.
- Where? Online through the Innovation Portal.
- Who? Open to teams of PLTW high school students, grades 9-11. Teams must consist of two to four students.
- Questions? Visit the 2019 PLTW Engineering Design Competition website.
- What? Designed to boost interest and proficiency in science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM), this nationwide contest challenges public school teachers and students in grades 6-12 to show how STEAM can be applied to help improve their local community.
- When? Teachers are invited to submit applications Sept. 6 through Oct. 30.
