Project Lead The Way Announces Seven Courses Recommended for College Credit by American Council on Education

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Project Lead The Way (PLTW), a national non-profit STEM curriculum provider, today announced that American Council on Education (ACE) Learning Evaluations has evaluated and recommended college credit for seven PLTW courses. Those courses include Civil Engineering and Architecture, Cybersecurity, Digital Electronics, Human Body Systems, Principles of Biomedical Science, Medical Interventions, and Principles of Engineering.

ACE, the major coordinating body for all the nation’s higher education institutions, seeks to provide leadership and a unifying voice on key higher education issues and to influence public policy through advocacy, research, and program initiatives.

“PLTW students are doing advanced and relevant academic work in schools all across the U.S.,” stated Dr. David Dimmett, PLTW President and CEO. “This recommendation by ACE will help our students have greater access to college credit for courses they are already taking, making post-secondary education more accessible to high school students across the country.”

ACE Learning Evaluations helps adults gain academic credit for courses and examinations taken outside traditional degree programs. For more than 30 years, colleges and universities have trusted ACE to provide reliable course equivalency information to facilitate their decisions to award academic credit. For more information, visit the ACE Learning Evaluations website at www.acenet.edu/credit.

PLTW offers a total of seven courses that have been recommended for college credit by ACE Learning Evaluations. For a complete listing of these courses, please visit PLTW’s page on ACE National Guide website or www.pltw.org/ace
